Got about 3 episodes in before I had any real grasp on what was going on. Now my next episode is episode 14 and I'm confused again but I can't really articulate what's confusing about it.

I really enjoyed EP, it's a bit self important but it's a fun story.

I never got far enough in to say. I liked the art style, but a lot of what I rememeber of it felt like a soulless, darker version of GitS.

Didn't get far but then I watched the second Ghost in the Shell movie and thought it could be a good follow up before trying the actual Ghost in the Shell shows and ova. It doesn't fully explain itself before the end, so it's normal to be confused.
