Everything is set up to be operated by the larger hotel. I was supposed to be at the smaller one. Well, last night my coworker got yelled at, do she skipped work today claiming she didn't need to be here as I could run both from the one. So I show up at 2, expecting to run the slower one. Just to be told I'm picking up an hour tonight, both hotels are my responsibility and for the current front desk guy to leave early... Had to make several trips to the other hotel in the rain to help guests. Got totally drenched. Followed immediately by 11 reservations from 1 person. I got fussed at by several of them. Fussed at by a guest next door after I went through the rain to help them. Cussed at by a guest who took our last king sized room, then decided they wanted a different room but would not accept a room that's not a king sized bed. Argued with me for quite a while, threatened to call corporate, and I was like "look, I'm offering you other rooms. Just take one of those please." But then I had to help catch someone's dogs who kept escaping their room. Alongside all the regular Karen bs I usually get. All within like the first hour and a half.
