This has never been the case for me. Ever. Of course, I might be the exception and not the rule, but...I dunno. Have you noticed how people say this? Has this been the case for you?

Thirties are pretty great. I'm basically just a more interesting, better looking and wealthier version of who I was in my twenties, barring a lower level of physical fitness and the existential dread that creeps in from time to time.

I cant believe my eldest is going to school next year. It feels like just a few weeks ago that I was holding her and trying not to hyperventilate.

ame thing every day, same thing every week, etc. It's all gonna blur in to one with no highlights throughout your year/memory to make you realise just how much time it's been.

I feel this pretty keenly as a shut-in of seven years with nothing going on in their life, x.x . Time as it happens feel so slow, but when I think back and can't really think of anything noteworthy, it feels weird realizing that that much time HAS went by.

A year used to go by and it'd be 1/10th of my life that just passed. Now it's 1/25th.

There's always something to look forward to as a kid.

Adult life is a constant cycle of monotonous bull shit where you're tired and beaten down even when you finally get that vacation, see that movie or play that game you've been waiting for. While those futile moments are few and far between.

So as noted earlier you just move through life in a blur only to take note of the passage of time when reality briefly sets in to remind you that your life is wasting away and there's nothing you can do about it.

Occasionally you might make a dumb decision to infuse some vibrance into your life, be it through frivolous spending or even drug use. Only serving to further speed up your descent down the toilet bowl of life.
