like I get shows about archeology. (check out Expedition Unknown. its pretty good) that makes sense. but like half the shows on Travel Channel are about ghosts, aliens and bigfoot. It seems like every niche channel eventually deteriorates away from it's original focus

They still have all those boring shows about cruises and home-buying but they're on the sister channel Destination Anerica now.

Travel, shows were about seeing sights and notable things. I think then it turned into "weird things you can see while traveling." Now, it's just here's weird stuff.

That was my first thought but nope. It's owned by Discovery and History is owned by A&E. Still both companies do the same crap.

Yes Disney owns 50 percent of A&E. But not discovery at all it seems so not the travel channel.
