Actually the weeks the kids aren't here I generally make another grocery trip for a few more veggies. Fruits I usually stick with apples only for when the kids aren't here otherwise I get more fruit. Apples lasts 2 weeks easily.

Most people do not care about getting a virus that has virtually no chance of killing them (Despite the fact it puts others in danger), let alone producing symptoms. Additionally, basic skills of social distancing are enough if you can make good judgement.

There is also a lot of politics surrounding the virus. Many like to feel better about themselves discussing how other people arent handling it optimally.

Because people with jobs, families, and homes need to go out and do stuff. Simple question, do you have ANY of the aforementioned? Do you have a job? Do you have children who depend on you? Do you have a property tax bill and a mortgage to pay?

Most likely not, or else you'd understand why everyone else doesn't want to stay cooped up in their houses any more.

Funny thing is, I don't shop online and I still only leave my house like once a month to buy something new that isn't food. And it'll be to replace something I lost or that broke. I don't think people realize how much less stressful life is when you just learn to enjoy what you have. Like, how many things in your house do you actually use daily? weekly? A lot of that stuff is instantly just decoration.

Yeah interior decorating is a joke. Some people change up shit like every year or 2. What a waste of money. My house barely has unnecessary junk.

After my exwife left I got a decent used couch set for $300 and the kids jump on it at times and build forts. My ex took our new sectional and won't even let the kids build forts with it when they were doing it when it was here. I don't plan to buy new couches or a new dining table until these guys are late teens.

That's because it's built to manipulate and take advantage of us. So you just wanna roll with that then? The US's economy is overrated. We're all depressed because of it. Im fine. But that's cause I can opt out. I'm disabled.

No, I'm not ok with that, I just want people to understand the consequences. I personally think the whole system needs to be burned down and something reasonable built in it's place.

Exactly. It's a carrot in front of a horse. Most them horses are never getting the carrot. They're just gonna spend their whole life running for it. Never asking themselves if they'll even be happy once the short period of them eating it is over.

Yeah it's very sad to see. And some people I've noticed are literally selling their bodies (sex trade) for shit like Gucci bags. Biggest is wasting crap on vehicles unless it can be justified. The average person isn't a multimillionaire so quit living it up like what you seen on some reality show cause they have more money than you.

I mean, I literally just used being disabled as a positive. I use to resent being disabled and not being able to participate. Then I slowly realized "Holy shit...I was givin a way out of all this bullshit everyone around me is dealing with. This race that they'll probably never see the finish line of."

And now I get to just help those around me. Which is another thing I noticed is fucked about the average persons life. Since I don't have to actually do the things I do just to stay afloat, people are thankful when I go out my way. Where as, if you have a job in America, no one ever actually thanks you. They want you to think getting the new tiny upgrade on your phone is your thank you. And that shit is just not the same. Being noticed when you're doing something that helps those around you will always be worth way more to your mental health. It doesn't have the diminishing returns that objects have. Of course you can't eat attention, but Im obviously not saying you should get praise instead of money. You should get both. And more

Grapes, apples, pears, green bananas so they ripen, oranges, etc....last long you can freeze berries in general, mango, watermelon, etc
..meat you freeze it as well and snacks overstock on them instead majority of snacks don't expire until after long awhile

If that works for that person great. At least they are living within their means.

I got myself a 65" TV this year and a decent tv stand for it since I had money. Other than 2 couches and a decent area rug the living room is fine. I have a few artwork up from years ago in my 20s when I got it. I won't even get decorative pillows yet. I have nobody coming over to impress or need to impress. Same thing with indoor plants. Kids break shit and ruin it. I'm not throwing money and replacing decorative stuff.

And considering on local Facebook market groups you can find couches in mint condition for dirt cheap. $300 is better than $1200 for a new couch set for kids to break. That's why some of these doctors or dentists are dumb with their money too. Going to university doesn't make you financially smart.

Many people I find (especially women) after a year or 2 get bored of shit and replace it. My ex didn't take our Christmas tree and it's fine. So I won't be replacing that until maybe once again the kids are in their teens. I make sure things don't break or I figure how to fix things myself before getting something new. If that impacts the economy I don't care. I need an emergency fund and money to save up for long term. Not like I'm some actor getting a 6 figure or more a year to make stupid decisions.

Word. I gotta clean my freezer. Half of it is probably stuff Ill never touch or been in there for years. I still am just working with a refrigerator. But I'm also only one person, so a basic freezer should be enough if I utilize the space.

Lol no. Even before the pandemic hit wage growth had been completely stagnant for years while productivity and profits were at record highs, alongside the with the skyrocketing cost of the living and healthcare.

Everything has gone up. A man can no longer provide for his entire family on one income while the woman makes good healthy meals at home for the family.

Education has gone up for no reason. Plus they keep coming up with new courses to fuck people over now so they need to get that paper. Such as now you need a paper to be a 911 dispatcher where has 5-10 years ago you didn't. It's basically forcing people to go to college and be in debt if they can't afford it.
