Because it has been true in a few high profile cases at this point. Jussie Smollett ruined it for a lot of people, and the "noose in the garage" situation didn't help.

Because it happens a lot? Just look at Michael Jackson. There's a lot of evidence to suggest that he did not molest any children, but because he made a big payout to the first accusers, more people kept accusing him of shit so they could get a payout too.

Good to know we can be skeptical and distrust everyone because once in a while people are frauds. Totally not stupid and illogical. Jussie Smollett and Bubba Wallace are totally the same situation and a whole two times ruin all victims of everything forever.

Garbage people use the hint of something being wrong a couple of times to make themselves feel better about ignore the literally thousands upon thousands of times when someone was right.

Can we stop throwing Bubba Wallace under the bus? He didn't report it, he wasn't doing it for fame or whatever. Some person saw what they thought was a noose and reported it. That's not at all what Jussie Smollett who literally paid people to fake an attack on him did. They're not comparable at all.

Bullshit. You know what would make me forgive Bubba Wallace? If he'd come right out and said "I did not see the reported noose, and I am glad to find out that it was merely a misunderstanding rather than a hate crime." Which is the exact opposite of what he did. He's doing all this at this point because he is a low talent driver running for a team that can only afford to exist because their namesake was a famous driver back in the day (and note that said namesake's previous team was so shitty it went bankrupt and could only afford a driver through nepotism.)

Granted, I'm actually a lot more pissed at NASCAR and the FBI than I am at him. NASCAR for making a giant spectacle out of the entire thing for media attention, and the FBI for needing 10 fucking people to look at fucking ropes on garage doors and determine they're all identical, and further needing that much time and money to look at the cameras that you know are there BECAUSE ANY ONE RACE TEAM HAS LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF EQUIPMENT IN A GARAGE to determine that no one set foot in there to perpetrate the alleged hate crime.

Wow what a wrong fucking post. It was a completely justified response to the only noose in any track garage at any NASCAR track given the time when it happened. Everyone in NASCAR was thrilled it was an unfortunate coincidence and Bubba is the best ambassador to the sport that NASCAR could hope for in these times. It's not his fault the media always asks "resident black man" his opinion on everything, but he never throws the NASCAR community under the bus and always preaches togetherness. He has struggled with depression and he was getting a lot of disgusting hate over the Confederate flag ban at that time.

His team sucks, but they have gotten a lot better this year. He hasn't gotten a great opportunity since his Truck days when he showed talent. He has a few chances at a pretty big team upgrade next season, though Richard Petty Motorsports is doing all they can to keep him.

Every garage has them. The truck bays at my job have them. It's a literal fucking loop tied in a rope to open a door. This should never have taken as long to figure that out as it did. Hell, any NASCAR official could have looked at the cameras and went "Nope, no one went in the garage" and ended it all. But instead they decided they needed more media spotlight.

A better ambassador would be if the sport itself was any good. But their top rule makers fucked that up a few seasons ago. But instead we have an asshole who had to bring politics into the one sport that DIDN'T feel a need to preach at their audience.

It was the only noose tied pull in any garage stall at any track in the series. Some jackass did it during the October race weekend at Talladega. It wasn't hate crime, but it was a very unfortunate coincidence

Oh fucking please. NASCAR is as political and divisive a sport as they come, not that sports have ever been apolitical. But I guess that's ok because it was things you agreed with. I've always had a hard time marrying my love of racing with how unwanted I am by some NASCAR "fans" and the pre-race festivities.

As I said, Bubba has been a great ambassador for the sport. He has handled being being "the black driver" with fortitude. He has never thrown the community under the bus. He probably gives people too much credit to be honest. It is apparent that he gets tired of being thrust into the spotlight, but has always been unifying when he talks. Have we already forgotten his response to Kyle Larson's n-bomb? People want to act like he's some black extremist just because he isn't Uncle Ruckus and has opinions when asked for his opinions.

No one is calling Jimmie Johnson or Dale Earnhardt Jr radical self-hating libcucks for supporting Bubba. Weird. How the hell is he an asshole anyway?

No, we can be skeptical because that's literally how rational thought works. You make the claim, you back it up, otherwise it is impossible to say whether it is true or not. You can be irrational if you want, but don't expect anyone to take you seriously.

Assuming victims are lying runs opposite from assuming everyone is innocent until proven guilty. It makes no sense to assume everyone is Chicken Little because once in a while they are. Investigate and figure out who is telling the truth.
