Peace Talks was disappointing imo, clearly only half a full book with a super anticlimactic ending and they shouldn't have split it up. At least the next one is coming out soon.

I've only read it once, on release day, but I really liked Peace Talks. Granted, like you said it's very much "part 1 of 2" and if Battle Ground wasn't confirmed to be out very soon after I'd be much less lenient on it.

For example, A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, which are similarly mostly setup for massive battles (Dance in particular) where we're still waiting on the payoff after 10 to 15 years. That shit can go fuck itself.

Skin game ended up #5 on my list. I really enjoyed it but Im mad at two things plot wise
Nicodermus still alive. I enjoy the Denarians but I think by this point he should have been killed.
Harry still hasnt gotten with Murphy officially. At this point butcher is just dragging it out.

But I did really enjoy the good guy working for bad guy angle of the book and from the point that Butters is found out spying and on the book is a lot of fun.

Read Jury Duty and going to read the next short story and then hit up PT finally.

While I agree they shouldn't have split it up, I really, really liked. Maybe it was just the fact it was the first new novel in the series for a while, but I found it awesome.

pretty sure LARPing scenes from dresden files is the indicator.

The Denarians are the bad guys in every fifth book, we still have one more to go.
And Harry and Murphy are totally together at the end of Skin Game. They get their Mack on in the hospital and everything.

Thats interesting on point 1. And oh I thought they just made out at the end. Thought she was too injured to be able to go all the way at the end of the book.
