It's just sad. Once a month my wife and I will go clean her great grandmother's headstone and place new flowers in it (fake flowers in the cold months) and say a few words, and there's a bunch of graves that are just the flat engraved piece of cement in the ground instead of an actual raised tombstone, and so many of them are just faded and dirty and the deathdates are nearing 100 years old. Even if I make a huge positive impact and am remembered through history books 200 years from now, no one living will have known me. Even then it's only decades. Go on and name a list of famous people from the 15th century....you probably can't. We have information on a lot of them, and if you looked it up you'll probably even see names you recognize but had no idea what century they lived in. No one will be able to name one without looking it up.
