I liked his whole successor of Zhuge Liang shtick even though it was never fully realized. When wang yi was first introduced in dynasty warriors 7 xtreme legends, she became my favorite character. I love her thirst for VENGEANCE, her edgy mosou where she straddles a person and stabs them in the chest with her twin trishula weapons, and her having an accompanying edgy music theme (both with vocals and instrumental), lol. I hate that koie keeps switching her goddamn weapon for some reason.....then they made her a clone in dynasty warriors 9. I remember playing 5 quite a bit, and then 8. I've actually had the itch for a Musou game lately, been looking at Samurai Warriors (which I've never touched). Samurai warriors is very good also. But if you'd like a giant assload of characters, I also highly recommend Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. I particularly loved the Wei one, because it dealt really well with the idea of frustrated ambition. DW8, of course, introduced hypothetical paths that allow each kingdom to actually win(like they did before). These are usually ahistorical in a really dumb but cool way, which is just perfect for this series. They also tend to feature music from older games: either as is, or remixed.
