I just opened up my copy of Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening for the Switch and found Breath of the Wild in there.

It's always worth checking things before leaving the business. Food to go orders is another big one, because those are constantly messed up.

This! Especially in drive thrus where you can't see them bag your food. So I make a point of sitting there pawing through my items to ensure everything is there

Just remember these simple tips to prevent future mixups

Check that you are still in the store
Observe that the item is still in your possession
Nom on the item to verify that it is inedible
Speak to the person at the counter about the item
Explain that your uncle works at nintendo and can get them fired if they ever mess up again
Nunchaku are effective if diplomacy fails
Take any plea deals your lawyer offers

I actually went there the other day for a copy of Dead Space 2. Thankfully he showed me the condition of the disc first and I noticed it was Dead Space 3. They had the actual game in a sleeve tho, so it wasn't a big deal, but I think it's probably a more common issue than you would think.

The ones I go to know I like to look at the disc/cart before finalizing my purchase so the closest Ive come to this was when I accidentally gave them my Halo MCC and Borderlands instead of Battlefront 2 because they didnt check my stuff enough. (Didnt discover the error for a while after that either; luckily no one had bought that BF2 and they know me well enough that I was able to get them back and give them the right disc).
