When people need help on a video game, they're not coming here to read FAQs. This isn't the year 2000 with dial-up. People can go to YouTube to see full walkthroughs of games in 1080p or even 4K. However, the GameFAQs forums are still semi-useful for getting specific help.

I absolutely hate video walkthroughs. They always have some mouth breather talking. I'd much rather have text or text and picture walkthroughs.

I don't like video walk throughs either, but mostly because it's usually a much slower way to get information. Either I need to sit through a bunch of irrelevant shit or what takes like 30 seconds to show can be adequately described in a sentence.

The big exception is well hidden stuff, where sometimes it's difficult to describe how to get to it. Usually those have their own little videos though.

The HTML walkthroughs here can be really slick. But some of the really old text walkthroughs are hard to get through.

I wish that GameFAQs jumped on the gaming wiki bandwagon. Collaborative guides on a platform not riddled with ads, that's the dream.

same. I rarely use videos and when I do it's for specific things like trying to find an exact location somewhere on a map, and once I see what I need to see, I close it and I don't even have the audio on because commentary is annoying. I do like to watch playthroughs for games I don't expect to ever play though, but also no commentary ones.

The only walkthrough, guides, trophy help videos you should watch should be from PowerPyx.

And if you just want to watch a playthrough of a game, you go to MkIceandFire
