Nah, it's not required at all. That being said, I do kind of wish I would have kept one for old games. I do fine without it, though, and I don't know where I'd store a huge 32" CRT.

Yup, I got a 32" that I use for my GameCube and such. I did just buy a 20" 4:3 EDTV LCD at Goodwill for $5. It's pretty nice too

I haven't owned one since 2012.

Not at all a requirement, and a pain to move around, but it is nice to have for older games.

Nah, I'm through with CRTs. If I need to play old games, I just deal with it.

It's 100% impractical and unnecessary when you're an adult always maintaining proper space and efficiency in the home.

Ooh, I hadn't thought about Melee. I would like to change my vote from true to false. You don't need a CRT for Melee anymore with Slippi, all the Melee pros say it is just like playing on a CRT. I wish I had one still. Gonna need a special hookup on this Roku to play N64, Dreamcast, etc., and they'll probably still look like crap afterwards, haha.
