Zombies are most of what's holding me back from getting into the series. Tired of zombies

But this one has a plot point that no other zombie media has ever done before

humans are the real monsters!

You'd think every zombie media would understand this is the worst zombie trope in the world by now and yet every zombie creation to this fucking day still uses it. Can't really blame them, though because plebs and casuals still eat it up.

I'm not sure how I'd rate it, but it's somewhat important.

like, it's the backdrop of everything, and adds to some of the most engaging parts of the game, but I also really enjoy the conflict with the different human factions.

but the best parts, IMO, are the ones where *minor spoilers* you're pitted in the middle of human and infected enemies, and you can use them against each other

it just sucks that there are less than a handful of those encounters

the increased focus on zombies & horror was surprisingly my favorite change from TLOU1 to 2, i loved the moments when you are exploring and never know what was going to happen, and there were some great twists (like the rat king boss)

agreed on this, it's too bad i can only recall like two or three moments in the entire game where that happened

I don't know why there's such outright hostility towards this trope
