I actually agree that the feds and law enforcement should leave Portland.

Let the entire city turn into a graffiti-ridden eyesore with yahoos walking around with guns they aren't qualified to handle as peacekeepers, like Chaz. That's what they've chosen.

Chaz was fine and so is Portland. The protests are even now, with rights being violently violated, largely peaceful.

I've had to deal with the police exactly one time in my 33 years.

Maybe I'm just privileged.

Depends on the person. Skin color and other statuses definitely can change how often you interact with police

When the George Floyd video first surfaced, I noticed A LOT more support for the idea that something had to change in law enforcement, even among conservative types.

Then leftists had to start crowing about abolishing the police, never ending riots in the cities, and the whole Chaz nonsense, and so much of that initial support plummeted.

Push until you get what you want, then keep on pushing until you get what you don't want.

They saw it as an opportunity to appropriate a legitimate reform movement and push for their marxist revolution.

Do you feel those conservatives would have actually pushed through reform?

Trump is stupid, but he's no stupider than the people who listened to people politicizing masks and believing it. And then on the left side of things, the "all or nothing attitude" versus the police is just dumb.
