I actually do recall reading something like this, about how konami did not care to go for home ports because accliam would just try to take credit for their work. It was weird on how the rights worked back then, like konami had the rights to make games for whatever series in the arcade but acclaim had all console rights to that same series. Apparently, it was because konami only had the rights to make arcade games, and could only port it to the PC and commodore 64.
