Wearing a mask might prevent me (or people around me) from getting the coronavirus right now, but eventually we're all going to catch it. And we were still being told not to wear masks when things started opening up after the peak, and we didn't see an increase. And then we were forced to wear masks as things continued to open, and we saw spikes in cases again. Some optimistic figures put a vaccine being distributed as early as November, which if you went on lockdown in March, we're now halfway there.
