I enjoy the recent Marvel stuff by Jason Aaron. And the Darth Vader series by Kieron Gillen. Those take place before the first 2 movies.

Then you should check out the story Resurrection, a 48-page story that appeared in Star Wars Tales 9 and collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 3.

Yeah I just read through the canon Vader comics. They're pretty good. I'm also reading through the Knights of the Old Republic comic right now and am enjoying it.

A few people have already recommended the Marvel Darth Vader series. I'd also recommend the Kanan mini-series (it was about twelve issues). I've heard that Doctor Aphra is quite good too.
