When it comes to recent terrorism, and by that I mean organised terrorism, e.g. ISIS and Al-Queda, pretty much all of the attacks on the Western World have been on Europe, not America. There were the 2015 French attacks, the 2017 British attacks, and so on. My question is this - why has this become the case? Why have the terrorists become so focused on Europe? Or is it that they have been planning to do attacks on both places, but American counter-terrorism is more efficient than European counter-terrorism?

Easier targets. American counter-terrorism is definitely more efficient. Larger Muslim communities than in the US as well meaning more chances of people being radicalized.
