If nothing is done, this will be the worst homelessness crisis the country has ever seen.

Damn, that's a lot of people. The past 3 months of rent/ mortgage should really just be excused. The banks and landlords can take the hits. Many working class people can't.

Even if people got evicted, it's not like people with money would magically take their place. Landlords would start defaulting too, assuming they don't already own the property.

Won't happen like that and won't happen fast enough for most property owners who at least have some leverage. It'll end up just putting low wage workers in even more debt as they struggle to gather what money they can to find housing

I have been able to make all my bills, but some of them keep raising prices, my cable bill has went up $30 over the last 2 months, probably to make up for no data caps and they cant get them sweet sweet overages on internet anymore.

You can put people under any kind of debt that you want but it doesn't mean they can actually pay it.

Unless people are actually working and making good money, you'll never really recoup all your losses even with wage garnishments.

cutting the cord is an option but there's probably no other provider we could potentially subscribe to maybe get a discount :(.
cable company gone greedy if no options can be done.

I haven't had to pay my mortgage since February. I'm supposed to begin repaying in October. I can get what I owe added to the back end, so all I'm doing now is holding onto cashflow, which is nice.
