i dont understand why you think they would need to prove anything though

it's like obamas birth certificate - that was an absurd claim and he never needed to legitimize it by releasing his birth certificate

like if i said "hey i here viewmaster is trafficking people" with no bases other than my gut, why should you have to expend any amount of effort disproving my claim
i mean i'm not a company with my business or reputation at stake

look dude i don't know who you are or what beef you have with me, but i suggest screaming into a pillow or something instead of going off on random people just because they don't dismiss things as quickly as you

no need for me to scream into a pillow, i already got your mother to do that for me

why so dramatic and insulting about it? what exactly drives you to say shit like that? can we actually talk about current events here without immediately sinking to schoolyard insults? it's so old
Because that's exact amount of seriousness it deserves to be treated with.

i don't think it's exactly on the chopping block, i'm just saying if i had a company selling goods people were suspicious of, i'd do a better job to clarify the situation than "these are priced accurately" to nip it in the bud

The first red flag that shouldve caught peoples attention is the absurd price of the cabinets. $10-12k for industrial cabinets? Not on your life. The fact that they used names that belonged to missing people was just a dead giveaway.

well like i said, i'm just saying i'd care a little more about what people are saying before the snowball gets too big. if it fizzles out to nothing, then okay. i think the third degree i'm getting from people over this is a little unwarranted

They didnt though. They used non-unique people names. And when you do that, if someone looks hard enough, they can find a person with a matching name who had bad stuff happen to them.

Anyways, lets assume they are. That would indicate they are selling that specific person. With that, youd expect to see that they change the names of their products rather quickly when compared to their competitors. Has that been happening?

Thats why I bring up the point of the outlandish price of these things.

The names used haven't been particularly common ones though, they have been fairly unusual

You're actually proving his point; if the names are so unusual theyd have to change them frequently once the child was sold. How many Anabels or Alyvias do you think get kidnapped? Never mind that Alyvias body was already recovered.

That's why I think it's an automated AI system naming these items that has somehow picked lists of missing children to source names from. I never believed it had anything to do with trafficking

I mean, that doesnt even make sense. Is this some sentient AI thats decided to use this list, or do you actually think humans decided to include a database of missing children to be used as names for their products? Either answer is completely nuts. The real answer is, 800,000 kids go missing every year. Im willing to bet it doesnt matter what human name they used, it would end up belonging to a missing kid.

Yes, clearly someone evil and smart enough to smuggle children would indeed put the name of the children directly on merchandise for the world to see.
