I've always felt I have a poor sense of taste when it comes to coffee. It all tastes the same to me, apart from maybe being able to tell light from dark. but other than that it's all just coffee to me. do some people really sense differences in coffee?

Try slurping it a bit.

I don't remember the science behind it but you can tell more about the flavor with some air.

Yeah, but I drink coffee black, so it's probably far easier. Coffee with milk and sugar pretty much just tastes like milk and sugar to me.

like different brands or flavors of kpod coffees. I use a kuerig coffee maker and usually just buy whatever is cheapest at the time. but I have tried different brands and flavors. I do not drink it black so maybe that's why

How much effort do you put into trying to taste the difference?

If you're casually sipping a coffee while your mind is occupied, you will not notice as much of a difference as if you stop and focus solely on the taste.

If you're interested, check out some mindfulness tips. Fifteen minutes of meditation a day has helped me experience the world in a whole new light just by slowing down and processing.
