Are they?

I was 14 when I made this account.

If you saw a 14 year old in a store would you think "damn kid, get out my way!"?

The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt.

in my 30's now, yes
in my early 20's, probably depends on how young you look. but 14 year olds tend to look more childish.

I even look at 18 year olds as children, honestly. They're older and can be held responsible for their actions more than young children, but they're still kids.

can children legally commandeer vehicular machines that can and literally do take lives on a daily basis?

It varies. There are some giant 14 year olds.

I find myself calling by best friends kids (21 and 18) children out of habit.

Teens should know better than kids, but they are still very immature. So yes, they are still children, but not to the same level as 5 years old of course.

I jokingly call younger friends who are 20 years old "kid" sometimes though and I find it funny to make them mad.

Ehh, there's a difference, but they are still children. You can call them kids.

I'd say you're really a "kid" till you hit 25. That's around when your brain is fully developed. Yes you're legally an adult at 18, but even at 23 I wouldn't have classified myself as an adult.

I think considering someone an adult at 25 just because the brain is not 100% developped is a bit ridiculous sorry. You may be more mature at 35 than 23, but their is no way I consider 23 a kid.
