He does not know how to swim and goes on ski boats in the bay (in the Bay Area of California) and doesnt wear a life vest while the boat is in motion. I think its pretty stupid and dumb if you cannot swim to choose not to wear a life vest. He thinks Im over reacting

You guys are Bay Area as well? Assumed since a lot of CE doesnt like Cali (or New York) that no one else was from here.
Also yeah your boyfriend is an idiot. I have no faith in my swimming skills and I was incredibly high last week when I paddled out to the middle of a lake at 11pm where my fam was. Not only that, but all they left me was a kids kayak and it was halfway submerged under water the whole time lol. I sat on it cross legged and used my hands to paddle. It was terrifying to me but oddly satisfying. Made me feel alive. I did how ever immediately retreat once I got out there and they all had a good laugh. I just wanted to be able to know I did it. In the beginning I tried like 2 other positions and pussied out before I got too deep. I really was scared >_>.
