I'm sorry, but I see no point in having 4k tvs, there is no difference in quality as far as I can tell. They should have kept the resolution at 1920x1080, that was just want, then actually worked on improving the colors and quality of the actual content at that size. Also, smart tvs are pathetic in terms of being able to do anything cool. Given the state of technology consoles should be on the way out and they should be fully integrated with televisions.

4K is literally not any better than 1080 unless the combination of screen size and distance from the screen to the couch passes a certain criteria.

I'll probably upgrade to 4k when I get a PS5/series X. My current TV I play on is 4K but only is 60hz so it's not supported for gaming. Streaming stuff in 4K looks great though but 1080P isnt that much worse TBH. Playing on a 50" sitting on a couch like 20 feet away

Streaming stuff in 4K looks great though but 1080P isnt that much worse TBH. Playing on a 50" sitting on a couch like 20 feet away Imagine if instead of increasing the resolution and saying "better quality" they actually worked on the picture quality and colors by keeping the resolution the same and broadcasting uncompressed footage, raw avi files. There's no need to keep raising resolution demands past 1080p. The raw avi files would be easily broadcasted because with increasing transmission speeds and way less pixels needing to be rendered out you could easily upload raw avi files to broadcast. --- In this world, is the destiny of man controlled by some transcendental entity or law?
