Drew Brees was specifically asked about the form of protest of kneeling during the Nation Anthem and thought it was disrespectful to the flag. At no point did he say it was more important than what happened to George Floyd nor did he bring it up. Also, he had said this multiple times and knelled prior to games in support of the same cause.

Meanwhile, a bunch of black athletes are quoting fucking Hitler and they have not received even a comparable amount of criticism.

My mistake I was going off memory but whether it was one person or many he still used it with malicious intent which is all that really matters. Him saying it in the heat of the moment is a straw man defense, he was an adult and should have more self control than that.

I agree that you could argue that Deseans mistake was worse because he had time to read this passage, type it out, probably read it again, click send and leave it up for a bit before he ultimately deleted it.

The fact of the matter is they were both s*** things to say but the Eagles have shown that they dont fire people for saying things that would be firable offenses at most other organizations.
