so i've overslept for the gym the last 4 days. big part of the reason im motivated to go was to get fried rice from next door, which i've been craving big time since last week

so i finally made it to the gym today. was wrapping up and called over to place my to go order. gym employee comes over and tells me i have to put my mask on or leave the building to make a phone call without a mask

i'm too exhausted to walk out and back in so i just put my mask on and make the call. i ask for fried rice and she repeats after me "you just want a fried rice?" and i say yes

i head over, pay for my order and sit down...and then an ex girlfriend strolls over and sits at the table next to me with her new girlfriend. yes, she went lesbian after we dated.

but i have a few things to my advantage. first, i just came straight from the gym so my stylish clothes don't give me away. another is that i buzzed my hair so she wouldn't recognize that. and the last was that i was wearing a face mask and sunglasses. combine all of these and i was completely unrecognizable to her.

so the server comes over with me to go order and i jet back to the car. i open it to check...and it's just a box of white rice. i go wtf and check the receipt...and it says "1 side rice". ugh...they misheard me over my mask.

i debate if i want to go back in and complain...and i 100% would have, but the second i start to complain my ex would recognize me and that would be a whole thing. so i just drove home and now i'm too tired to go back out for food

and before anyone says anything, no i did not notice the price discrepancy when i paid. i ordered a drink too (about $5) and this restaurant sometimes gives me a discount because i'm a regular so i didn't want to bring it up. i noticed it was a couple bucks cheaper than usual but i thought they just gave me the discount

now, it's dinner time, yummy ._.
