If the book is as accurate as it claims to be, Trump isn't just a man child, he's a victim and a victim who lost. Because the entire Trump narrative is that the world is trying to hold him back, but they're failing, while this book comes along and says he was beaten into submission and only got to the place he is now by giving up. That makes his whole narrative fall apart and is way more damaging to Trump's image than anything that could be done by "the libs"

This makes sense, and the fact that he has always surrounded himself with yes-men exacerbates it

That sounds on par with a years old documentary about the Trump family which said Donald's father would bring him girls into his college. That Donald's older brother was a much nicer guy that wanted to help people and felt awful in the family business knowing they were ripping people off.

Hell Trump being the only president without a dog kinda validates all emotional impairing he's being accused of. Its also been right in front of us for the last 4 years in the way of him mocking everybody and having no respect for anyone.

His father was an incredibly bad person, none of this is really surprising. I can't really tell who this book is for- fans of Trump don't want to read it, and his detractors already know he is a monster, and likely don't want to further sympathize with him.

Of course not, but it's a half joke. Other presidents dont have the dog cause they love them, but because it is a bit of a tradition and it simply ups the sympathy points with the population. Do you see Trump capable of genuinely patting a dog or a cat, though?
