I dunno what BLM is doing in every city, but here in Seattle they only have protests/marches for police involved shooting. I've never ONCE seen any large gathering or protest here for someone killed because of gang violence.

She may be referring to the organization BLM and not the movement BLM. The organization picks and chooses the lost black lives that fit their agenda and not the ones they don't. The movement is certainly something everyone should get behind. But the organization BLM only serves to push the divide through identity politics.

I don't care if the person is black or white or whatever. A perfect example in Seattle is the multiple shootings and deaths that occurred in the CHOP zone where no police were present. It was all tied to gangs and turf wars over who was allowed to sell drugs there.

Why didn't we have rallies and marches for those lives that were lost? Because it doesn't fit into BLM's agenda.

Because the police are suppose to be STOPING the gang violence.

If the police did their jobs right there would be leas gang violence and less police violence. Instead of just fearing the gabgs now they fear the gangs and the cops. Who come of as just another gang in many black areas, a game with government athority.

blm is a protest movement against police violence. there are many community level anti-gang organizations and movements in larger cities that are dedicated to things like that

Since you'd have to be obtuse to assume there aren't group protesting and advocating against gang violence. No way are folks just attempting to discredit a movement geared to criminal justice & justice (BLM) by attaching other issues onto them.
