Alright, well, you got me, Im confused.

People are not allowed to protest or have signs in a certain area of the market. They were told that. They were told to move to another area, the designated area. They did not. They were told they would be arrested if they did not move. They did not move. They got arrested.

Im not sure why youre so concerned with whos defending what. You said the person was peacefully and legally protesting. She was not. Theres no defending anything. Theres what happened and then theres whatever youre thinking.

If the land is public, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to forbid the use of signs during protest without exceptional cause.

Theres also 20,000-40,000 people there.

One guy protesting was in a huge unicorn suit that probably tripled his size.

its the publics safety the cops and farmers market employees were concerned with. They have areas you can have signs. They have areas you can protest. They have all of that there according to articles about the market. But again, keeping people away from directly in front of the vendors stand is for peoples safety

its peoples safety when theres upwards of 40,000 people in one spot at the same time.

That's true. I've noticed that many (not all) liberals who are more anti-gun come from more privileged backgrounds as well. I think the main issue is that liberals still have too much faith in the system. These recent events are even more proof that cops shouldn't' be the only ones to have access to guns.

I think the left should be how the right is on guns. We should be the ones preparing for fighting tyranny in case we have to some day. Some might call fighting the government folly, but I'll take a slim chance over no chance at all.
