They seriously couldn't have made an actual movie version? Wouldnt be the same. Didnt need to be a movie version. The stage version is incredibly impressive, and you should absolutely watch it. There are so many musicals that have actual movie versions though.

This isn't an uncommon thing and it's not like they advertised it as anything other than a recording of the Broadway performance lol don't see the problem at all.
