Are they open world Banjo-Kazooie types or level based Crash Bandicoot types?

How big are they?

Thinking about the Reignited Trilogy.

Level based. At least the first one is; I haven't played the others.

Well, I have Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. The levels are definitely more open world that Crash Bandicoot's linear levels.

You have several general hub worlds that each have portals that lead to levels, you're free to backtrack and complete additional objectives at any time

They have "levels" or "worlds" where you collect stuff by exploring and completing tasks much like Banjo-Kazooie, Mario 64, and Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Ah okay, is there a big overworld connecting them all too?

Also are they as big and long as those games?
