What kind of utter savage does not wear a shirt in bed?

This is why, whenever I have had a tattoo done, I ensure I have black clothing to wear in bed.

The buggers leak for days.

Is smart when you have a new tattoo... it's very easy to scratch/itch it accidentally in your sleep.

Unless when asleep you grind and wallow like a pig in muck, it should be alright.

If you fuck with it excessively it can but dabbing a shirt onto it in your sleep wont really do anything, the first few days its just kinda freely seeping blood ink and plasma so it just gets kinda messy

everyone wants their tattoo to be flawless (my ocd self included) but its important to remember that your body is not perfectly flat, not meant for this, so theres no perfect way to apply or heal a tattoo. Its a bunch of needles stabbing ink into you while a machine vibrates in the artists hand, and your body can never be perfectly isolated during healing.

That is why I tend to choose my tattoos to be somewhat forgiving of fuzziness.

That said, my most crisp tattoo is also my most spur-of-the-moment, admittedly drunken tattoo that I now regret for a number of reasons.

My skin ALWAYS blows out to some extent, and Ive learned to be fine with it. I like and primarily get American traditional or things adapted from it, and by design that shit is meant to hold its form even if you take a goddamn acid bath. My tats mostly look great and I chill out more with each on lol

my arm band I regret getting at 19 has fuzzed out the least, though, and I really wish the fucking thing would fade so I can just get a blast over on my elbow without lasering it

My first tattoo is still permanently raised. I have no idea why, aside from that I suspect the tattooist delved too deep (being, as I discovered later, the apprentice). My daughter loves feeling it out like it is Braille (it is on my upper arm). My others are as flat as a mill pond, and always have been.

I have one like that, yeah. Not -all- the time, but its much more prone to it than my others, and tends to get very sensitive when is swells up like that. Scar tissue is a bitch.

years down the line Ill probably have someone blast over it, I like the look of layered pieces more than straight cover ups

I have been considering getting the spur of the moment one removed - it was a matching tattoo I had done with the evil ex. When we parted ways, she crossed it out with a knife. Ill let you draw your own conclusions why we parted ways.
