I enjoyed XV but felt it empty and rushed.. Bought the Royal Edition for 20 bucks and grabbed Episode Ardyn. Starting with Episode Prompto because I've heard it was the best between the first three DLC.

So far Episode Prompto is the single best part of the game, I never felt this gripped by any aspect of the original game. It's a shame because it really should have been a part of the original game had they not rushed/cash grabbed it.

The DLCs definitely fleshed out the characters after them all being under-utilized in the main plot. But as far as the story beats go, it's all stuff that should've been in the main game. Esp the Ardyn stuff, since he's the main villain and the game did almost nothing to explain why he *was* the villain.

Episode Ignis is probably the best one, though. He has much better gameplay that Gladio and Prompto, and the best written story stuff imo.
