It's just a meme that caught on. Same thing as when people were wondering if "ok boomer" was offensive. Give it a few months and it'll go away.

It is a racist/sexist term because it only gets used for white women.

Should stop using it. Just like thug should stop being used for blacks. It's what people say when they can't say the N word.

Karen is a term used to describe a behavior. It just so happen that that behavior is prevalent amount white women. But anyone of any race can be a Karen. It should also be pointed out that white people are also free to call other people Karen as well. But they wont because they seem hesitant to criticize their own people.

Comparing it it to the N word is stupid because its not a term used to demean another race for hundreds of years.
