Ooh, Tsushima has an area where the trees and ground are covered with yellow-orange leaves. They're falling all over like confetti and get kicked up when you run through them. It looks absolutely gorgeous and really makes me wish it was fall right now.

Essential Ghost of Tsushima tip: Progress the story until you get your first suit of proper, non-broken armor. Apparently your starting broken armor provides dick-all for protection (as much as the robes do), despite seeming at least 60% still intact. The new armor actually lets you take more than a couple of hits and makes you stop dreading every combat encounter. It sure would have been nice to have during that one early sidequest that ends with a boss battle. It didn't give me the option to quit until he had stomped me about a dozen times.
Also, had a hilarious bug that messed up how the main character's limbs move. I feel like crap. Still have a faint headache with slight pressure and still have ringing, but it's at the faintest it's ever been. My neck feels a bit tense and sore on the back. These are all symptoms of stress, but I'm worried they could also be from high blood pressure, because I still have a poor diet and haven't been to the gym in months. I would go, but corona has limited its hours, and it's usually pretty packed then. I usually prefer to go at night, which is after their new closing hours.

Another highly essential Tsushima tip: As soon as the world opens up, look up the locations of the Mending Rock and Arrow Peak shrines. One gives a charm that lets you regenerate health out of combat (a godsend), and another charm doubles the amount of lower-tier resources you find, including predator hides.

I hate when games have strung up corpses and don't give you a way to cut them down. It just looks tacky. The Arkham series and Days Gone let you sever the ropes with your weapons, and the Mad Max game had tearing down gruesome "totem poles" as a side objective, but those are the only ones I know of that let you do it.
