I played and loved DS3. I'm tempted to get the first one, but it looks so old to me. Even the re-master. I'm looking at the dates, and it was released around Bayonetta's time which I think still looks great.

The world design. The way everything is interconnected is incredible. Also it has the most memorable bosses and moments for me.

Objectively it probably has worse gameplay than DS3 though if thats your main focus. But its not like the gameplay is bad or anything, just not as fast paced or fine tuned

Dark Souls is a lot more organic in nature than DS 2 or 3.
