like the thing is 4 updates behind not supported in the least and shit, you need to chill

i want one to display my blood glucose levels without having to fish my phone out or yell for siri to tell me, and any version would work for this, even the series 0, but god fuckin damn

You could ask stores if they have any demo units left over. My wife got a series 4 from Staples for 130$. She only needed to buy a charger for it.

The only thing about it is there's no apple warranty with it, but for that price we didn't mind.

If they got the series 4 for that much of a discount, then you could probably get an even better discount for an older one. Not only that, but it sounds like you don't want to pay $100+ since it's older. But paying the same price for a what seems to be a far superior device might not be as much of an issue. But if you do what the 0 series, you may be able to possibly get a demo unit for less than $100...

Series 0 is just super slow and doesnt have the water protection for a similar price as S2. But if youre just looking for a single function and youve already checked compatibility with the app, series 0 would work.

Its just a couple of hundred dollars.

it's one thing to buy a game console, that can do many, many things and provide thousands of hours of entertainment, and another thing to buy a watch that you only want to do one specific thing with for convenience

but i guess schools don't really teach economics anymore

Honestly, theres so much you can do with the Apple Watch that you love it more and more as the months go buy and you figure it all out.

I initially got it as a replacement for my FitBit, and I love it. Has tons of apps and the one I got has that EKG monitor thing. I love how it automatically detects when you start working out and logs in. All my runs.

Well, you mentioned a game console but then specified that it can provide thousands of hours of entertainment. So that pretty much makes it obvious that youre talking about the PS4.
