Does it have a steep learning curve for someone that doesn't usually play 2D fighters (I'm a Tekken boy)? Gosh, I wish these games had demos or something.

Ever play a Vs Capcom series game? Its very similar to that. Fast paced, but they have a few user friendly things in place to help beginners.

You can do reasonably well with nothing but super dashes, special moves (all pretty simple) and auto-combos (short but reasonably effective combos achieved by pressing one button multiple times)

But if you want to get good at it, there are tons of really deep and complicated combos that you can learn to do extra damage. Personally I never got past the auto-combo/special move phase, but I still had a lot of fun with it when I played it. Even online it's fun if you find somebody to play with who's not absurdly good.

I like the 3-man teams, going to run a human crew with Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha.

Ah okay. I probably won't get past that level of play. I'm the same in Tekken. Just a mid-level player but I still have fun.

If youre a dragonball fan, its probably the coolest looking game theyve ever put out. I get really into it about once a year for a few weeks. Im definitely not a fighting game master, but it helps that all of the characters have similar inputs for their moves.

If it's anything like getting knocked against the wall in Tekken, I can understand. At that point I almost just want to put my controller down. A good player will not let me recover peacefully.

Second this. The entire game is made of 3D models, but everything is done in a way that makes it feel like an honest-to-god playable anime episode. It's insane how crisp it all looks in every single frame, with no flawed animations or imperfect stills.

After playing a little bit I gotta say, you're 100% on the mark. This game is friggin gorgeous.

Combos seem pretty easy so far (almost too easy).

My only issue is that everything happens so fast and it's so flashy that it can be hard to keep up, but I'll probably get used to it soon.

Have you done some of the advanced combat training to learn the freestyle combo potential? It's a hell of a lot more complicated once you deviate from auto-combos.
