Not totally out of it. Chained to that under threat of legal action under the pretense of accountability, still trying to figure out how to proceed about that. On top of that, the anxiety and depression around still having that person torment me intermittently, albeit far less frequently, plus the depression from the whole quarantine situation had me on some absolutely shitbag fuckboi shit on tinder for a while, which realistically Im beating myself up way too much over but still feel like a fucking loser for.

ANYWAY

Im getting a traditional style Lovecraft-inspired fish/frog-man monster on my arm, really excited about it. Problematic traits aside, I really love Lovecraft, pretty much all of my favorite works of fiction are deeply indebted to him, and I figure the like tainted/transformed person thing is a little less overtly-Lovecraft (and thus less associated with his racism, which I cannot defend or condone lol) while also looking fucking sick as shit. Its a piece Ive wanted for a while and had to cancel an appointment for when work got really unstable for me around the holidays, but now the artist is guesting in my city and offered to honor my original deposit.

and on top of that I already had an appt to start my leg in August lol

nope, gave him my refs and where I want it/roughly how big and just gonna let him go to town with the idea. I really like his style And have wanted to get tattooed by him forever, and he was stoked on the concept, so Im pretty excited for this bad boy.

The covid pay is how I am able to have 2 appointments in 2 months for not-very-cheap artists and not be concerned about it lmao.

I also need to get back to NYC and finish up a stack on my right arm by my buddy at some point, but thatll probably have to wait till at least the winter.
