There's a ton of conflicting info out there when it comes to fitness but I feel like the one thing everyone agrees on is you need rest periods in between workouts.

You can get some incredible initial results doing compound lifts and cardio 3 times a week.

You need to have rest days unless you're taking steroids or are a genetic freak. Even peak athletes in the NBA and NFL take rest days to let their body recover.

Every day is not good, at least not when starting. Eventually you'll be able to lift every day, shoot, maybe even every day twice a day, but if you're just starting out 3-5 days a week should be fine. Also, yes, you can do multi joint full body movements as your primary sources of exercise, these movements work lots of muscles and keep your heart rate up so you burn lots of calories.

Pay attention to your diet. If you need additional help, i would recommend getting a coach.

Working out is easy for me. The diet part is the hardest. <_<

Your muscles need time to repair themselves. If youre working the same muscles out everyday, they wont have time to repair themselves and thus time to grow.

I think you should try it and see how it works for you. I think theres a lot of studies that show its inefficient, but your body will respond if its too much. If its what gets you moving consistently, nothing wrong with that.

Just be conscious of how you feel. Dont injure yourself pushing through pain.

Its much easier to eat healthy and barely workout to look good than it is to have a poor diet and workout hard. You have to work way harder to work off a bad diet, whereas with good diet you can squeeze in like 5-10 min short, intense workouts and see better progress.
