She's in every way what you imagine the perfect girl to be. From appearance to personality to career except for the fact her family are big stupid racist heads.

Her parents, uncles, aunts, brother, his husband, her sister, her cousins. Even her young niece Frank shows signs of it due to upbringing.

They casually use offensive or inappropriate slurs/language, are openly hostile to illegal immigration and not found of immigration. They talk about the "True Crime statistics the media doesn't have the guts to say." as casually as you might talk about football.

Speaking of, they hate the kneeling and the protesters and say they are ruining sport + hate America. They passionately defend cops, their favorite shows are Tucker Carlson, Duck Dynasty, The Joe Rogan Experience and 24. They love Call of Duty and Battlefield video games.

The perfect girl doesn't do any of this obviously. She doesn't condone it or agree with it at all. But she loves her family and they love her so she's just learned to tolerate/ignore it. They're too close as a family unit for her to be willing to distance herself from and a big part of her life.

Could you date her? Or him if you're that way inclined.

Also regionalize all this shit for your nation if you're not American, there's always equivalents.

Also, if they cite crime "statistics", you KNOW they are racist, and you know that they don't know the first thing about actual statistics, and they completely ignore the crimes of slavery and labor theft that was used for centuries built the country that they live in today.

Yeah, but those people don't wanna acknowledge the context no matter how much you try to drill it into their heads. There was a topic like that on here a week or so ago. This one dude kept circling back to the same dumb talking points and skewed stats.

My fiance is amazing. I actually honestly love her mother too, whose racism is more the ignorant comment variety, and her step dad, who's more of the "I tell it like it is" variety, but both accept criticism, go out of their way to be fantastic people, and regardless of their opinions believe in supporting the rights and safety of others.

Her extended family though.....They live in rural minnesota. None of them were overtly racist, but they have I believe two cops in the family, and I heard some questionable comments. I deal with it for her though :)
