There were times that I could have, but nah. Apparently I am the equivalent to the rank of Major, but only because I finished grad school. It just doesn't feel right to be honest.

I'd say the only time I've done it was when this dude was being a douchebag. I was a level 2 tech support rep and had been for around a year or so...
Tiers: 1) Trainee - $8/hour 2) Level 1 tier 1 - $9/hour 3) Level 1 tier 2 - $10/hour 4) Level 1 tier 3 - $11/hour 5) Level 2 - $12/hour I started a 15 minute break and walked to the break room. Just as I walked in, this guy who was a level 1 tier 2 was talking to people who were tier 1 and below. Him: I make more money than everyone in this room! Me: >_> Uhh, no you don't... That guy was known for being a douchebag. I was so annoyed. First of all, it's not like he made a shitload more money than the people he was talking to. Just 1 or 2 dollars more per hour. Yes,I was E3 and he was an E5 SGT Special Forces.He cut in line at the DEFAC and I told him I dont give a fuck about his rank,what's right is right and to get back in line where he was.Officers and senior enlisted was standing up in the cafeteria like "hey wtf is going on over there?" His group called him back in line while everyone was saying "alright..alright now...".

I usually know more than my manager so Ill use that fact sometimes but never as to veto or override a decision already in place.

Only once when a newer guy was being a dick to new employees. Had to remind him that I didn't treat him that way when he started a year earlier, and that I had 10 more years of experience so give the kids a break.
