I played the mod and I kinda don't see why it's so praised. It was good but that was it.

Can't watch the video atm, but good for them. Forgotten City is a solid mod that's widely accessible due to its familiar Groundhog Day / Majora's Mask / Edge of Tomorrow structure (and it's only 130-odd mb, which is a big deal for console players). Plus most of the townsfolk are well-written and nuanced. The two major themes clash a little though; constant looming fear of breaking the Dwarves' Law could have been a real nail-biting experience, but you yourself are free of consequence from it by virtue of the time loop; in retrospect it would have worked better with a timed cataclysmic event like MM's Moon. Plus the 'good' ending isn't very difficult to get - I got it on the second try after having only broken the Dwarve's Law once to get the armor off the one guy - and once you've gotten the good ending, there's not much incentive to go any other route.

But compared to vanilla Skyrim it's fucking Shakespearean-grade writing, so its high acclaim is reasonable.

Shakespearean

Don't use that word here; GFAQers hate it. >.>
