I feel the media works to cover up the severity of these murders for P.R. reasons for the USA. We don't hang ourselves from trees. And the suicide excuse is one of the oldest excuses in the book

Black people need to travel in groups. And ensure they make sure they are hard targets. Those that are in to guns, make sure you put them to use

We need more than body cams. We need to be prepared to defend our lives even if it means killing someone in self defense. Prepare yourself mentally (We should have been prepared mentally. This isn't a new thing)

I don't believe that a Black person would commit suicide by hanging in a public place and with no note. I was asking if it had been confirmed by a credible news outlet that the lynching had taken place.

I would never try to minimize the impact or the implications of such an event. I just wanted to know that it was verified and not something from a tabloid site.

If it was in fact a lynching, that brings up many other questions before answering this.
We know of 3, inside city limits. Who's to say it's not taking place in more remote places without us knowing? As it is, those 3 were somehow not in sight of surveillance. Don't want to induce a dark thought, but yeah that can be possible.

I do think there should be a movement to weed out supremacist groups. I don't think those are necessarily 1st Amendment protections anymore. Like, would you really think a Nazi is suited to coexist with American ideals? No.

-legalize drugs
-move funding from liberal arts to vocational schools

Put less people in prison, and give them tools to provide for themselves

In the meantime, and I am NOT kidding, body cams with a panic button?

if some very fine people want to hurt them, the panic button starts recording and their location gets sent to a network of loved ones and friends using the same system so they can come to their aid.

Keep an eye out and I guess call the police if I see anything. Like I get the weirdness of that plan given current events, but wtf else am I capable of doing?

it behooves individuals of communities to do more rather than to rely on delegation as they have historically been inclined to

fine karen $500 the first time, misdemeanor the second time, send Karen to jail the third time

If there are more lynchings at the end of the week or something happens on Junteenth then we know what's up. However, these lynching are not suicides' no matter how much they say it is.

Well, open carry is a thing here. I could always get a handgun, and if I ever see it happening, kill the ones trying to lynch. Extreme example, and I dont think it would come to it, but its an idea.

Other than that...not much I can do, really. Ill keep an eye out for people, like I would anybody. Try and make sure everyone around me is okay. Report anything that I hear of, publicly shame anyone who I find out is racist. Vote for people who can change things, obviously. What else? Not a lot.

Open carry can actually endanger them. These cops kill people over... I dont know, existing (eg George Floyd, B. Taylor), having a gun on them would only help bad apples for providing excuses.

an open carry advocacy group actually did a test a few years back

had a white fellow and a black fellow open carry in the same area, both licensed and in a place where it was legal, black guy got swarmed by cops
