In before "you're not allowed to criticize a show strictly for kids".
I've only seen a few episodes of the show, but does anyone else find the Lion Guard cartoon pretty awful? I understand it's a show for kids and it was never going to be on the same level as The Lion King. But just because it's for kids doesn't meant it has to be so dumbed down. The show feels like a non-canon fanfiction. Don't even get me started on what they did to Scar. ... Copied to Clipboard!

My niece watches this, so I've sort of seen a few episodes. All I know is that apparently the evil animals get help from the ghost of Scar as seen in the opening. Otherwise it just seems be to shitty songs about happy shit the "good" animals do.

So Ive heard. It seems to suffer from wanting to be more than it is but being leashed by people in charge wanting to keep the show railed to a single, forced scope in terms of tone and focus.
