Bread, steak meat with or without the onions, and ketchup, that's where it's at. I also don't know anyone around here that puts mayo on their cheesesteaks, but maybe one of the overrated famous shops do. Also, all of the local shops around here use American cheese or something else, the cheez whiz crap seems to be more of a "let's feed the tourists this garbage" sort of thing.

on another note: everytime i get a philly im always polite about asking for no peppers. then the sandwich guy is always like "hurr hurr it's not a philly without pepperz!" in a philly accent. shut up you sandwich maker and make my sandwich the way i want it!
