Is this because they know what they look like with no makeup?
Tbh, I can understand this mentality. Even if they look like a stunning goddess after they are done, they know how different they look without it. They probably think some movie star looks amazing and barely uses any and feel inadequate in comparison.

That gotta be a hard thing to deal with.
It would be like if a guy put on a muscle suit and everyone said he was so hot and buff. But then he comes home and takes it off and sees his real physique. Even if everyone else is using muscle suits too, he still feels shallow.

Perhaps this is why if a girl is really pretty you should rather compliment her intelligence and personality. But uglier girls eat up compliments about them being pretty. (As opposed to the thought that pretty girls get those compliments all the time and so they aren't effective.)

its because they were BULLIED by other GIRLS when they were young and called them UGLY even though they were beautifu las FUCK and now they're adults they're insecure about their facial appearance even though people tell them tehy're BEAUTIFUL they're like no... im ugly... and they have a warped perceptive of their face when theyl ook in te mirror

Genuine insecurity, whether it's infected a male or female, exists indefinitely until the sufferer goes inward. Usually takes weeks/months of practice to break the shell of insecurity and to blossom into a beautiful butterfly.

Because shit like Cosmo has conditioned us that we aren't attractive and can't compare to others and need validation of a MAN to be beautiful and can only get that validation with LOTS of makeup.
