Well he's a bright color is what I mean. In this intro and even old intro he's not bright at all and dark skinned so I always thought that giant intro monster was different from the Dragon God.

It's a bit over a decade now. I think that's a fairly reasonable amount of time.

And it's probably just because it is somewhat overlooked in the Souls community. I know a lot of guys that started with Demon's Souls have been clamoring for a Demon's Souls remaster like Dark Souls 1 got.

Sony owns the Demon's Souls name. Anything with that title will likely never end up on PC. Same with Bloodborne.

I dunno, I think it mostly looks similar to the original, but more detailed and being less covered in fire.

maybe I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that fire will cover its body during the fight.

The fire isn't the issue, it's that he's designed to look like a balrog, or a "born" demon, rather than a horribly transformed and tortured soul.

It's certainly implied through his appearance (he looks like some form of half-melted amalgamation) and the weapon of the "Legendary Big M" (yes, that's a character's name) found outside his lair, even if it's not stated directly.

But in general that's how demons are formed in Demon's Souls. The first three bosses in Boletaria are all transformed humans, the first one more grotesquely so than the other two. The last boss of the game as well.
