I see pink/white but the lighting looks weird so I can tell that's wrong

Also when I snip the sections out, it's clearly gray and turquoise. I just can't see it like that in the whole picture.

Base is whitish-grey. The lace and decorative pattern is a form of blueish-green hue that I don't know the English term for. If it's turqoise, then so be it.

I always see these things wrong so I assume the correct color is gray/turquoise

It's the contrast that causes me to see different colors when looking at the whole picture vs. snipping sections out

i can photograph a white piece of paper in red lighting and the pixel's color values will say it's red. doesn't mean the paper is actually red

Are you saying it's pink/white?

It's the contrast that causes me to see different colors when looking at the whole picture vs. snipping sections out. If it were just the lighting, that wouldn't happen because it's a static image on a computer.

Laces, stripe, and sole are white, rest of the shoe is pink.

Gray and turquoise in that picture for sure. I don't see how you can even think it's pink and white. The only part that looks even remotely pink to me is inside shoe and that only looks like it a little tiny bit.

The laces at the very least are turquoise in that picture. If you think its pink it's likely you are red green colorblind.

If you look carefully at the top you can see the lighting and pink.

Not at all, and you really shouldn't through medical evaluations around willy nilly like that. A few people here, myself included, have seen it both ways. Brains don't actually process visuals 1:1.

If you look carefully at the top you can see the lighting and pink.

On the sole I can see it, and it even moves somewhat to the opening of the show. Then I can see a big spot of turquoise on the shoe near the top. So this is definitely lighting tricks but the pic is grey and turquoise.

This. I have a feeling they used a blue gray filter or something over this photo, because the colors don't match up with the claimed "real" color. With the dress, they did. (The inside of the shoe does look like it could be pink though.)

I tried to recreate the second image in photoshop and couldn't. If you up the saturation, the laces do turn a BIT turquoise, but the shoe never turns gray. So I'm still skeptical.

In the original photo, the lighting is reddish and warm, and the second it's bluish and cool, and there's not enough background it the photo to make the light source very clear. I think that's why this one is a lot tougher to see.
