I mean most people are saying it's a bad idea to have these protests because the threat of Corona spreading is very likely.

But at the same time, they understand it and realize that there's a bigger overlying problem that they're fighting for and want them to do everything in their power to make it as safe as possible from Corona.

A political rally is also a completely different story of course, but hey, you know that already.

That isn't true did you even watch the video. There was hypocrisy going on a lot were in favor of the Floyd protests. I shouldn't have to say this but Im not a Trump supporter I was just laughing at the hypocrisy. Which the video was about and I feel will happen once Trump does the rallies.

You aren't addressing the question. Does corona pick and choose which gathering to go after? It wont spread in the Floyd protests. But it sees the Trump rallies and will spread there.

The reopening protests weren't all about haircuts. Many were simply because the unemployment systems were so backed up and there was no relief and people wanted to get back to work so they could pay their bills.

That was all lumped in under haircuts. And while this is a very important cause, there's definitely a lot of hypocrisy going on and the protests itself will end up hurting black people and minorities the most.

This isn't like a war where you can put your life on the line for future change without others around you being collateral. This is a contagious virus that is really in no way under control, so any cause, no matter how important, puts people that are not even participating in danger.

It's barely been 2 weeks since his murder. The spike's wouldn't have been from the protests as they're normally a 2-week lag time.

Also, you can't say that you haven't seen waaaaaay more masks at George Floyd protests than the "Go to Work" protests. Considering the second group was also kicking and screaming about having to wear masks as well.

Look, if Trump rallies all have masks of some sort and whatnot, that's great. Have your rallies. But they likely won't, and that's the biggest difference between the two.

There are so many people who say haircut protests, and when they do you know that they are so far gone into their own echo chambers that they aren't even worth talking to. Right wingers do this all the time too, like when they say Barack Obama or Joe Biden are socialists. Any echo chamber is bad.

Can you see the viability of protesting against the lockdown because you are running out of money and need to get back to work (even if you don't agree with it)? If you can't then your stance isn't very honest. There are ways to mitigate spread of the coronavirus (everyone should be wearing a mask right now when they go outside, and anecdotally in regular life many don't even do this), but any large gathering if people is going to largely increase the spread of coronovirus. Even if only a few people aren't wearing masks (let alone if they do other anti-social distancing things that can't be seen in pictures) the risk of spread is there and unless we are very lucky the risk is great. If you can't accept that the protests are bad in this sense, even if they are mostly good or for a totally good reason, you just aren't being honest.

I wouldn't put it past Trump to sell "MAGA" masks at rallies.
